Generally when I rent a condo in Key West, I make one run to Publix for staples, beer, soda, etc, and then go to Fausto's for meat, deli, and those specialty items that KWT was mentioning. Their meat is top quality, and worth the higher price. The store on Fleming is very convenient if you are in old town. They have another one on White Street.

Faustos is great for a quick trip or an already prepared sandwich etc. (just meaning it's not the cheapest, but if you're there it's easier then going to Publix - therefore makes it worth the cost sometimes.)

Publix is in Tradewinds Plaza which has a K-Mart, Radio Shack, Payless Shoes, Bealls Outlet, the public library (with internet access), GNC, chinese restaurant, Curves, and sandwich shop.
