Generally when I rent a condo in Key West, I make one run to Publix for staples, beer, soda, etc, and then go to Fausto's for meat, deli, and those specialty items that KWT was mentioning. Their meat is top quality, and worth the higher price. The store on Fleming is very convenient if you are in old town. They have another one on White Street.
Yes, you can buy beer and wine at Publix. (and other grocery stores in FL) Outpost has a great selection of beer and wine and if you need quick liquor - Walgreens is a good stop. 4. Publix is in Tradewinds Plaza which has a K-Mart, Radio Shack, Payless Shoes, Bealls Outlet, the public library (with internet access), GNC, chinese restaurant, Curves, and sandwich shop.
