Hate the drive to Wichita, but would go again tomorrow for Exploration Place. The exhibits were cool. I liked them and even though alot were aimed for younger kids my 15 and 12 year old really enjoyed it. The best thing by far was the Cyberdome theater. For scenery I'd try the Flint Hills which is a short distance away. The Ozarks as you drive through Missouri towards KC are also very beautiful. Fort Leavenworth has a lot of historical sites. If you're willing to drive a bit (less than an hour), Lawrence and Topeka also have some interesting history to offer.
