Answer 1 of 8: Hi, I just finished my NYC trip last week. However, at Coney Island, I got a parking violation ticket since I kept the receipt face down. It was my mistake.
We actually took the time to go to the police station, which was a five minute drive away to dispute the ticket showing that we had paid for the spot but just didn’t realize we had to place the receipt on the dashboard. They did not cancel the ticket however, they reduce the charge from €42-€29 if we paid on the spot which we did.
