12 reviews. 41 helpful votes. 1. Re: Parking at DTW. 5 years ago. Have you considered driving yourself and using one of the offsite parking lots. It's easy peasy. Just drop your car they shuttle you to the airport and on return they drive you right back to your car. With a coupon it's $10/day.
US Park, Airlines Parking and Quik Park are all $10/day with coupons on their website. AAA might get that down to $9. My corporate discount gets me $8, so if you work for a company with local offices see if you might qualify. All three are under the same ownership and offer good service - follow to your car and drop at the terminal.
3. Re: Hertz vs Avis at DTW. 12 years ago. That nearby BP station really jacks up their price to take advantage of the rental car returners. The Gas Buddy app on my phone shows their gas is currently $4.19/gal. A dozen stations within two miles are at $3.59. Fill up a couple miles from the airport to save some money.
6. Re: Parking at DTW. 6 years ago. Detroit Airport Parking can be tricky without research: There is terminal parking, the Green lots and four off-site lots. Be sure to check their pages for coupons. Also, certain hotels offer free transportation to and from the airport if you spend the night prior to your flight.

33 helpful votes. 4. Re: Terminal C - Avis car collection. Aug 23, 2023, 12:12 PM. Rental cars are available at Terminal C. Terminal Link is about a 1/4 mile walk to the station. Shuttlebus is on level 1. Much less walking. Plus, not sure the train is running 100%. It wasn't running when I was there last week.
