We were to get a Toyota RAV4 or a Ford Escape, we got a Mitsubishi Outlander a much lower class SUV. Service and assistance was subpar.

I rented a car with Ace where I paid fully ($143.53 ) online on November 17, 2023. I picked up the car at Fort Lauderdale airport on November 30, 2023 and returned the car on December 3, 2023. To much to my surprise, my Amex account was charged again in the amount of $242.47. Thank God I used my Amex when I paid ACE originally.

TLDR; I booked a car from ACE Rent a Car in Las Vegas through Expedia-AARP.com for 10 days. ACE tried to charge me an additional $199.50 for liability insurance. I will never deal with ACE Rent a Car again. Expedia sent a confirmation email with a TOTAL price of $410.52 and a note stating: "The total price includes all mandatory taxes and fees."
I booked a rental thru Hotwire.com. Typically I don’t have issues when booking with Hotwire. Unfortunately, this time around was completely different. My reservation was made through Ace rent a car. When I arrived at Las Vegas, McCarran airport, I was shuttled to the rental car area, but it wasn’t the rental car area that I rented from.
