Further to my original post above, I have tried requesting a resend of the OTP every day or two and today, I RECEIVED MY MOBILE OTP within ten seconds of pressing the resend button! It has taken just under two weeks for the first account to be activated.

So i keep the other two inside the back of my phone where the battery is. You can also keep yuor sim inside a safe area of your wallet (a zip compartment maybe). Switching sims isnt that hard.
