Costco is really making their mark lately in travel sales. I had several friends who booked through Costco as the price was better over direct and even cheaper than any online flash sale price. Working with an agent who uses a wholesale vendor, the client is getting a discounted rate on the air, car and hotel. If you're looking for price only, Costco or the internet might be your best bet.
10 years ago. I've booked 3 cruises through Costco Travel over the last few years. Very happy with them. The base rates are either the same or better than the actual cruiseline online rates, PLUS they usually give onboard credits that tend to work out to around 8% discount. And the onboard credit is NOT use-it-or-lose-it.
Costco travel offers the same price as going through the crude directly and yes past passenger discounts as well as cruse line promotions apply. You will never get a lower price going direct as Costco gives the majority of the commission they receive based on the base rate in the form of a Costco Cash card.
