   7 years ago. Great response. I did quite a few comparisons yesterday between Costco packaged "deals" and booking directly on my own. In all 5 cases, booking directly was either the same price or slightly lower. My conclusion is Costco Travel isn't a good value. Report inappropriate content. CapeCodCharlie.

   10 years ago. I've booked 3 cruises through Costco Travel over the last few years. Very happy with them. The base rates are either the same or better than the actual cruiseline online rates, PLUS they usually give onboard credits that tend to work out to around 8% discount. And the onboard credit is NOT use-it-or-lose-it.

   The only one of those I’d choose is Costco. The others wouldn’t even enter my mind to consider. I’d either do Costco or direct. Tickets- I’d compare direct, AAA, Undercover Tourist and Costco. Sometimes booking a la carte is cheaper than booking a package so do compare. Packages are easy but not always the best deal.
