Tried calling the actual location and keep getting routed to corporate customer service. I requested customer service to close out rental and still no action. Still waiting for a resolution soon.
8 helpful votes. Budget Car Rental (US) charged for returning early. 2 years ago. We hired a car for 21 days in Orlando, collect and return from MCO airport. We were due to drop it off at 5pm but we were 2 hours early. We checked the car back in with no dramas. 2 days after arriving home we were slapped with a $402 charge on the credit card.

We returned the rental car to the Denver airport location and took the shuttle to the airport. 3 days later, I received text message that I thought was fraud saying that we didn't return our car and my credit card was charged an additional ~$600. We ABSOLUTELY returned our car to the right location and left the car key inside the vehicle.
