Answer 1 of 38: Hi All, I am contemplating buying cross body, anti-theft, messenger style bag for our Italy trip. I am torn between Pacsafe, Travelon & Rick Steves' bags in similar designs.
A cross body travel purse screams "scared tourist" especially as you will still be clutching the strap in a death grip. Same with messenger, just a bigger version of the other. The backpack screams "American tourist" if you are over college age and zippers invite pickpockets.
