There are rules for using GPS like the driver must not operate the GPS whist moving and the location of the screen for the GPS must be placed so it does not obscure visibility for the driver. GPS are not a lot of good if you wish to take country roads.

I’ve found Google Maps to be very reliable in France.The “offline” feature works really well if you don’t have data coverage. I don’t drive in France myself but I spend a lot of time in the passenger seat beside a professional who does, and his go-to app is Google plus a paper Michelin atlas.

Travel time between destinations on Google maps. 11 years ago. Save. We are planning an itinerary by rental auto that takes us around Spain and Portugal. Looking at Google Maps directions app it give estimated travel times. Are these accurate for instance between Madrid and Lisbon it says about 6 hrs. and Libson to Sevilla is 4 hrs.
