There are rules for using GPS like the driver must not operate the GPS whist moving and the location of the screen for the GPS must be placed so it does not obscure visibility for the driver. GPS are not a lot of good if you wish to take country roads.

    AJ, It's around 14 euros to get the direct train from the airport to Termini. Then you could get the underground from Termini to the Spanish Steps. It's 3 stops but could walk in around 30 minutes. Note that there's a 3 day underground pass called the Roma Pass that gives access to a number of venues.
