12 years ago. I just read the CPK gift card and it states: This gift card is redeemable for food and beverage at all participating California Pizza Kitchen in the US only EXCLUDING airport locations, stadiums,universities, MIRAGE HOTEL IN LAS VEGAS and Guam. I guess it pays to read the fine print.

I have earned "stars" which can be redeemed for free drinks etc. The problem I ran in to in LA was that many of the Starbucks I tried (which tended to be attached to hotels), wouldn't redeem.
