Just my experience here from years in the past: During several September visits, we spent both a Sunday and a Monday at the two Universal theme parks. Keeping in mind the parks have early closing times that time of year, we managed each trip to NOT need Express Passes, but each year go more and more crowded.
Express pass is more effective but comes at the price of hotel of buying it on top of your ticket. Not all attractions have single rider but most rides do. If it is rides your in to single rider works just fine. Note minions will need to be first thing as no line to use and loads real slow. Report inappropriate content. Kat_Cubs_fan.

Planning on going to Universal and Adventure island on two different days during the one week visit and noticed the prices for express was cheaper on this upcoming Sunday probably because of the rain. Are the prices the same in the park for the express pass and does anyone recommend going during the rain where it's possibly less ...
It does make it more equitable if everyone has access to the same perks. Express Passes aren't cheap and are definitely exclusive. You're already dropping the same cash to go to Disney and Universal, Buying Express Passes adds minimum $70 extra per person/ per day.
Answer 1 of 16: We are a family of 4 with 2 small children. I don't particularly like thrill rides. My husband does. I think it's unfair to mak the kids queue a lot for things they can't join in on.
Express Passes will be at least $150 each. 3 x $150= $450. But, since you get EP for both days, the hotel is definitely cheaper than buying 2 days worth of EPs. As a bonus, you get early entry, the ability to walk to the parks (or take the boat, if you prefer) and a great hotel to spend the evening in.
