   Chatted with one of the co-owners after the meal. She (and her husband) have been with the Polish Cottage 9 out of its 10 years. The food was great! Good sized portions that are reasonably priced. If you want to try Polish food ,or havent had an authentic homecooked Polish meal in a while you will be impressed with the Polish Cottage.

   This is a really old place and it shows. But, we loved this aspect of the restaurant. It is a buffet of classic Polish dishes. Pieogis, kielbasa, salads, sour cream dill cucumbers, sauerkraut, cabbage, paprika roasted chicken, soups, Polish meatballs in sour cream gravy, ox tail stew(!!!), gawumki (sp), and so much more.

   We had lunch at the Polish National Home on a visit to Hartford. I have some Polish heritage in my family, and love Polish food. The Polish National Home didn't disappoint. We shared the 2 combination platters among 4 of us and had oodles of food. It was all great! Also enjoyed the local beer served.
