   I visited Tai Lake with some work friends on a very hot Sunny morning in mid-July. The park is easy to get around, but it did help that we had a Chinese speaking person with us. The park consists of many areas around the lake as well as the islands. Using the boats to get between islands is part of the admission.

   We stayed for 5-nights in late-Oct at the Hotel Taha Tai in Hanga Roa on Easter Island ($227 US/night). The hotel, entered from a street 1-block back from the waterfront, is situated on a nicely landscaped property that gently slopes down to the waterfront street.
