Answer 1 of 7: I reserved a Minivan for Vegas March 17-20 with Promo Code TARR from Dollar. I've been reading on different websites that this promo code is only good when renting in Florida and a few people said its for travel agents only.
I have tried all the sites suggested and always end up booking with the rental company directly. I just booked 11 days with thrifty for $ 313.00 total ( including the crazy fees ) for a wild car.

Answer 1 of 3: I had a bad experience with Dollar Rent Car. I reserved and paid for a car with insurance for Third party liability with clearly no excess. When I arrived they insisted for 2 hours that the third part liability is with 20% excess.
Dollar Rent A Car, San Jose Airport, our experience. 8 years ago. So we rented a 4 wheel drive from Dollar, and Vamos had no car left. We stayed at an airport hotel the first night and shuttle back to the airport to get to Dollar. The guy at the airport desk took down some info and sent us out to catch the shuttle, which did not take long.
if you have booked on the dollar site, it is more than likely that the quote does not include cdw (ldw). others will probably include it. dollar is owned and handled by hertz. i have never been charged a cross border fee by any company, although interrent (part of europcar) do say that there is a 15€ charge, but i rented with them two months ago and there was no charge.
