According to the link above Advantage will debit your card the total of the rental plus up to $140 deposit. So, if your rental total is $200 plus a $140 deposit= $340 debited from your card immediately and then the deposit refunded some days after you return the car. Again, all companies do not have the same policy. Read the T&Cs.
1. Re: Renting a car without a credit card. 14 years ago. Many car rentals will say they do not take debit cards, but this isn't true. Call around to some of the Name brand companies and explain you do NOT use credit cards. I have heard through the radio talk show with Dave Ramsey that they will accept debit.

The potential issue with using Debit is that any pre-authorisation ("hold") placed on your card is held against your money, rendering it inaccesible for any other purpose until it's cleared/settled. So your account has to contain enough to cover this pluds your actual spends.

That doesn't mean that they won't take them, but you could get someone that is a stickler for policy. Report inappropriate content.
Maybe it is a walk from the international terminal but arriving nationaly it is realy close and well worth renting from a company with on-site cars.We use Alamo and have always been happy.Before you leave,check with your regular car insurance carrier AND you credit card company.Both generally offer some coverage and you probably dont need to buy additional.It is the job of the agents to try ...
