This year the California State Fair celebrates its 40th anniversary at Cal Expo. To commemorate that, on Mondays and Thursdays we're giving away free parking at Cal Expo until 4pm, and $5 State Fair admission until 5pm (Labor Day excluded). The anniversary promotion will be in effect on Mondays, August 18 and 25, and on Thursdays, August 21 and 28.
The tasting room features 2 boutique wineries. Twisted Twig winery primarily features dry reds w/ 1-2 white options. Rendevouz winery has numerous white and red options spanning from dry to sweet. For white wine drinkers, definitely stop in - there was a page and a half of white wines to choose from. I ended up doing the 7 tastings for $12.50.
