AAA and several discussion boards say that if you book your park tickets to Universal Orlando you can get a "AAA Discounts & Rewards Ticket Voucher" that Universal locations ask to see in order to provide a discount on food or merchandise (i.e., they offer discounts but no longer honor just your membership card for discounts).

We've already returned from vacation and just used the at-the-gate AAA discount the day we went. It was a nice place overall and we had a generally fun time for the roughly half a day we stayed there, so don't mistake the comments to follow as any major knock on the park itself - it was overall a beautiful, and clean place which stood out as positives.

I called the AAA office that's near Universal and got the prices for the following passes: Seasonal: AAA $295.99 (compared to $304.99 buying direct) Preferred: AAA $379 (compared to $394.99 buying direct) It is small savings but definitely does add up depending on how many people are buying.
The discount from legitimate tickets sellers will never be mind-blowingly huge. But $5,10,15 off times multiple family members can add up, or, at least, is better than nothing. A 4 day ticket is $294 or $313.11 with tax. UT shows 4 day plus extra day free (more on that in a moment) for $309.99. That includes tax.
Actually, there are discounts at both restaurants and shopping w/your AAA card, but I believe you have to book your trip through AAA.
