10 helpful votes. Flying with over 3 oz of contact lens solution. 10 years ago. The TSA website says all liquids must be less than 3 oz (technically 3.4, or 100ml) unless they are medications. I cannot find anywhere on the site the definition of "medication." Is contact lens solution considered a medication?
I use Clear Care disinfecting contact lens solution and it does have travel sized bottle but instead of toting a dozen of these little bottles, I was hoping to purchase a comparable product or even better: the same product in Italy. We are only taking carryon luggage so we couldn't tote the large bottle. It is sold by Alcon/CIBAvision in the US.
