6 years ago. You won't find ANY car rental companies without bad reviews. People give bad reviews for a number of reason but the majority of reasons are unwarranted when it comes to the better companies. Companies to avoid will be Firefly, Maggiore, Goldcar and Locauto. These are bad companies and should be avoided at all costs.

Metro is very easy to use. Has a lot of high end shopping but not a lot of souvenier style shopping (some stands). Best food is away from the main sites. Get a map from your hotel and its easy to read to find the primary sites to see. Milan is a 3.5 hr train ride to Rome (high speed train, 6.5 hrs on a longer train).

Not specific to Puglia - use one of the big agencies like AutoEurope or HolidayAutos to compare prices and then stick with the major companies like Avis, Europecar, Hertz. And always make sure you read and I stand the fine print - most issues derive from not having the correct expectations.
Answer 1 of 4: I will be renting a car in Italy this fall. There were a wide variety of choices - could someone recommend a good company to rent from? The last forum on this subject is 2 years old & I am hoping for more recent recommendations.
