I bought a Lebara SIM in the UK with a view to using it abroad. However, when I put the SIM in a mobile device and added the credit while overseas (that part worked just fine), I discovered that the SIM needed to be activated in the UK first before actual calls can be made outside the UK.
I have been a Lebara customer for more than 6 months now in the UK. I ordered a sim card from the Lebara UK website for my wife last week. On receiving the sim I tried to top-up the sim but it failed 3 times a total of £25 was charged to my card. I called customer care on 0870 075 5588 to discuss my issue.
