I always use ATT when I travel internationally, it costs $10 a day for an international plan, it automatically turns on and off when you leave the country and when you return. Unlimited talk and data so if the wifi isn't good I use my phone as a hot spot and teether my laptop to the phone.

3. Re: AT&T Wireless Service. 15 years ago. Yes, AT&T works well in San Lucas - not sure about San Jose. Its worth it to call AT&T and get on their "Mexico plan" ($3.99 or $4.99 - cant remember exactly). It cuts your calling costs from .99 a minute to .59 a minute and no daily roaming fee.
