I used to have Verizon (many, many years) but recently decided to go solely with T-Mobile. Our plan gives me unlimited data in 140 countries (2G), free texting and wifi calling. We tried it out in Portugal, Norway, and Poland last year with my husband's phone and there was no increase in our phone bill.

In the west, it is possible for a dirt or gravel road to be a: 1) numbered highway/route, 2) good route and 3) maintained... not a high speed road, not good in wet weather, but a legitimate route.

There are also very good and free map apps like maps.me which allow you to download maps. These should provide you with detailed road maps. Both will work off-line (ie. No cell or wifi access) and will use your phone gps to find your location. However, if you need detailed trail maps or elevations etc, you will need to buy a proper paper map.
6. Re: Pacific Highway 1 - Google maps. 5 years ago. You can easily add waypoints to force Google maps to take the route you want, although you can only add so many, (ten I believe). Anyway you can type in the city or you can do a map search so you just put the X on Highway one and hit save.

When I plot “Old Faithful Inn to Teton village”, google maps tells me it takes 4 hours and 14 minutes via 191 (going through Driggs and Victor). When I plot “OFI to Jackson Hole Airport”, it shows 2 hours via 191 ( but not going through Driggs and ...
