I presented my internet Hertz reservation contract which cost only $220 and they would not honor it because it was Easter Weekend. They refused to give me that price and instead said I would have to pay $800.

I feel your "pain" but it may not work to continue to contact the place you ended up renting from. Some Hertz locations are just that - painful to deal with. Others are nicer. Hertz 800 number is 1 (800) 654-4173 so you might want to see if they can direct you to someone who is not at the location you rented from.
