Not sure if this assists, but l have always found that when booking through a third party (ie a tour package), all entitlements and perks with companies like Hilton, Sheraton, Hertz etc (except for airlines miles) become nullified.
Re: Hertz #1 Club Gold - Is it worth it? 17 years ago. Depends. I would think if you only use it once for Maui rental $50 is a lot, but it is a personal thing. I just equate $50 to 6 lava flows, and that seems like a lot of lava flows I'm trading off. However, I do have Hertz Gold #1 through work and it is really nice not to have to wait in line.
Anyhow, most Hertz cars are equipped with an EZ Pass for easing through the tolls. Initially, you think that, if you use the EZ Pass, the fee will simply be charged to your credit card. However, the Play Pass program is actually an outsourced operation that charges $4.95 per day up to five days of rental, even for one instance of EZ Pass use.
