6 years ago. @JPDeM. Use Google Maps for a location you know in China and then switch to Satellite Mode. That should show you the "Offset Problem" Google has in China. As far as I now this has nothing to do with the "Great Firewall" but rather with some incompatibility in the GPS systems used for Map applications.
Bing maps are problematic, especially outside the US. As an owner, I have been looking for quite a while to include our hotel in Bing. There seems to be no easy way to do this if you are in a developing country. The solution, I read, is to create a fake address in the US and then change it, or others say, get listed in the yellow pages.
