With Bing maps, I can no longer get navigation, see street view, or put the little yellow stars as markers. Now it's all cut and paste into Google Maps. PITA. I am a senior contributor to TripAdvisor, and their app was one of the few apps on my Android that I always allowed update as I felt TA was a "trusted" company.
6 years ago. @JPDeM. Use Google Maps for a location you know in China and then switch to Satellite Mode. That should show you the "Offset Problem" Google has in China. As far as I now this has nothing to do with the "Great Firewall" but rather with some incompatibility in the GPS systems used for Map applications.

Zoom into Gatlinburg, then grab ahold of the little orange guy that's on the left side of the map and drag him into the map. You'll see a bunch of the streets turn blue. You can drop him anywhere you see the blue come up and you'll get a street view of that place.
