If you are booking you must book direct with the airlines as just because the fare with the airline is totally refundable an OTA can modify that to make it hard to collect a refund giving you only a partial refund, or even no refund. My sons paid $350-$500 for Northern Europe-SFO RT last year during Thanksgiving-Xmas, but we are not in the mood or have time to search for better deals.
