You can use any site you want, but why bother with the middleman when you can almost always find the fare you want at the same or lower price by going direct to the airline. And you own your own ticket as opposed to having to get the third party involved in flight disruptions.

    Pretty much any credit card or debit card from a CANADIAN bank should work. I've never has a problem with a Scotiabank Visa, an MBNA Mastercard or a TD Visa. The exception, and I don't know this for a fact, may be American Express cards issued by a Canadian bank.
