Shuttlebus is on level 1. Much less walking. Plus, not sure the train is running 100%. It wasn't running when I was there last week.

I wouldn't consider it to be a major overhead and nothing worth fretting over. Hardly worse than using the shuttles from the AB satellites into the main building.

Does anyone know if any car rental companies offer ‘skip the counter’ type service at Terminal C at Orlando International Airport? I know for example Avis Preferred isn’t possible there (while it is at A and B).

   14 years ago. The rental cars for the on-airport rental companies: Alamo, National, Enterprise, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Thrifty etc are in the airport parking garage. When you step outside the doors from the car rental counters (level 1 of the terminal) there's a narrow oneway street that runs between there and the parking garage.

   Some people like buying the rental company's insurance just for peace of mind. $400 to $500 is probably a good average. For a September booking like mine, $200 to $300 is the norm for a 10 day rental, but if you're booking during Christmas holiday time, $500 to $800 would be about right.
