Answer 1 of 10: Sorry to bother, but I need expertise. I'm renting a car at the airport and understand that some car rental companies have counters and cars right at the airport, but that some require a shuttle ride to the cars.

They have been in the news for all kinds of extra charges charged to the credit card a month after returning the car. Major work charges, like windshield damage, invisible scratches that somehow become visible damage.
Always best to check the car rental agency sites directly. Read the T&C's closely. Stay away from "cheap" off-site agencies - there are usually hidden fees. Renting at the airport is always more expensive than at an in-town location, because the airport locations charge a location fee.
A really good way to ruin a great vacation is to go cheap on a car rental. There are way better ways to find savings if on a tight budget. With the regular car rentals you only make a reservation - no money up front - no money to lose if a 3rd party screws things up.
