My wife and I are going on an escorted tour of Italy. The tour is eight days and the company enclosed what I consider high tipping amounts for outside of the US. The suggest (daily) $7pp for the tour manager, and $5pp for each local guide, $3pp driver. I haven't been to Europe for several years but do not remember really needing to tip much there.

They come on a long strap that you hang around your neck, punch in a number and then hold to your ear when required. There is nowhere to plug in your own earbuds - same for the Roman Forum /Palatine.
