As far as towing, we do carry our AAA cards, but, you do have to think a bit before you take your rental car on the lonely unimproved 4 wheel drive areas.

The hotel sites that offer AAA discounts have a place where you select AAA rate which is about 15% when booking online or will give the discount when showing up on the day.

   It appears there's no AAA discount on Hertz right now except for weekend and weekly rentals (I'm renting for 4 weekdays). Hertz has a 25% off discount coupon code, but it only allows one CDP code, so it won't let me enter my AAA information to get the free second driver.

   Check with your credit card company. Call their 800 number. Our personal car coverage covers ME, the driver, in any car whether a friend's or a rental. If your car insurance does not cover you (not the necessarily the car) -- you need to have a chat with them. The rental car companies make a killing off of insurance.
