7 helpful votes. 7. Re: American Airlines - no email confirmation after 48h. 5 years ago. My AA confirmation email shows as a "Confirmation and Receipt" with the record locator code. Our experience is that 24 hrs with AA is not all that unusual but 48 hrs would be. You might try this: make an account with AA.
In two weeks I have flights booked through American Airlines to fly from Kansas City-Chicago-Madrid. The Kansas City-Chicago flight is simply through AA. It takes off at 9:30am and arrive around 10:30am in Chicago. The Chicago-Madrid flight is a codeshare with Iberia airlines. It takes off at 4:40pm and arrives in Madrid at 7:45am local time.

If your credit card has the ticket number you can use the refund page at aa.com to retrieve your reference number.

So I booked flights this morning on Expedia (fantastic deal, usually I would buy direct from the airline ). I have received US Airways ticket numbers and a US Airways confirmation code. It says the flights are operated by American Airlines though. I am wanting to pick seats etc for my flights and understand that I need an AA PNR/Record Locator ...
The record locator issued by AA and the Iberia record locator may not be the same. Check the Iberia website and see if you can pull up your reservation.
