7. Re: American Airlines - no email confirmation after 48h. 5 years ago. My AA confirmation email shows as a "Confirmation and Receipt" with the record locator code. Our experience is that 24 hrs with AA is not all that unusual but 48 hrs would be. You might try this: make an account with AA.
The first record locator from American Airlines was missing the last flight. After contacting them, they issued a new record locator that includes the missing flight. However, now my AA account has two record locators, with 5 out of 6 flights being listed twice. I contacted AA again, but they directed me to contact British Airways.

12. Re: American Airlines - no email confirmation after 48h. 5 years ago. The OP said in they do not have an Aadvantage number, signing up for one won't assign it to an existing reservation. If your credit card has the ticket number you can use the refund page at aa.com to retrieve your reference number.

You will need the record locator (known in airline speak as a PNR) that works in the American Airlines reservation system (the one you currently have is only valid for the JL system). It may be visible when you view the booking on the JL website.

4. Re: American Airlines Seat Selection at check in. 5 years ago. If you have already booked, you can still pick your seats now. Just go into My Trips. Once you enter your PNR (record locator) and name and your itinerary is located, you can pull up the seat map (as indicated above) by selecting Change Seats.
