7. Re: American Airlines - no email confirmation after 48h. 5 years ago. My AA confirmation email shows as a "Confirmation and Receipt" with the record locator code. Our experience is that 24 hrs with AA is not all that unusual but 48 hrs would be. You might try this: make an account with AA.
No. Only way somebody else can check your reservation is if that person knew your name, flight number and the reservation code. Even then, they would not know if you boarded the flight. No airline will give out the passenger list of a given flight. Edited: 7 years ago. Report inappropriate content.

You will need the record locator (known in airline speak as a PNR) that works in the American Airlines reservation system (the one you currently have is only valid for the JL system). It may be visible when you view the booking on the JL website.

12. Re: American Airlines - no email confirmation after 48h. The OP said in they do not have an Aadvantage number, signing up for one won't assign it to an existing reservation. If your credit card has the ticket number you can use the refund page at aa.com to retrieve your reference number.
So I booked flights this morning on Expedia (fantastic deal, usually I would buy direct from the airline ). I have received US Airways ticket numbers and a US Airways confirmation code. It says the flights are operated by American Airlines though. I am wanting to pick seats etc for my flights and understand that I need an AA PNR/Record Locator ...
4. Re: American Airlines Seat Selection at check in. 5 years ago. If you have already booked, you can still pick your seats now. Just go into My Trips. Once you enter your PNR (record locator) and name and your itinerary is located, you can pull up the seat map (as indicated above) by selecting Change Seats.
