Everything I am bringing other than my curling iron doesn't need one, but I'm afraid the curling iron will burn out over there and it's one I really like so I don't want to risk it. I know you can buy a cheap curling iron here for between 15 and 20 USD and I figure I can just buy a cheap one when I get there and leave it when I go back home.

Kensington High Street Boots and Sedley Place ( Oxford Street, Bond Street Tube) Boots have the best variety on electrical goods. Marble Arch Superdrug also has a big variety; Superdrug of Camden is the place to go for special offers.

Re: Travel curling iron (for wife) Apr 22, 2024, 9:44 PM. Any dual voltage (about 110V and 220V) curling iron should work with the proper adaptor plug. With an American one you will be going from prongs to round pins. If your device doesn't sense the voltage and must be set manually, the US uses 110V, and Europe 220V.
