   Re: ITA Old Matrix = my favorite way to research flights. Yes, the old ITA Software Matrix has been my go-to for travel planning. Google's Airfare Search just doesn't offer the flexibility to thoroughly research your options. Everything seems to get dumbed down when corporations take control of good ideas.

   I have been checking EVERY single day for 14 days in a row flights on Alaska-Horizon, Air Canada, and Delta-SkyWest from Vancouver (BC) to SEA and also Vancouver to Portland roundtrip in coach every time on the exact same days each time using the airlines own websites, the ITA Matrix, Google Flights, Priceline, and then Expedia, Kayak, Hipmunk, Momondo, Skyscanner, Adioso, and Skyscanner.

   Yeah, I saw Google Flights mentioned on the Matrix - ITA web page. But it seems to have more features than the GF website, I think I will try using it along with a few others. As for airlines not being listed on 3rd party search engines I know that Southwest is 1 of them. I will also check them out to see what they offer...

   Its ok to to use a airfare search engine to shop around but always always always book direct with the airline. As many can attest to with personal experience in 2020, you have little chance of any recourse or service with a third party site. Good luck even getting to speak with a human.
