At the time the Maui Gold pineapples were only 2.99 each. So with a $3 roll of packing tape, my box of 6 pineapples cost me $21. This is also the gift that keeps on giving, as I root and plant the tops in our Hawaiian resort-inspired garden. We've gotten one pineapple so far from plants we've been planting since 2016.
Whole Foods is in Kahului, pretty close to the airport as is Costco. If you are feeding a large group, shop Costco the next day, it's less than a 20 minute drive from Kihei. If a regular grocery store is all you need, there are plenty in Kihei. There is also a local grocery, Hawaii Moons that is "all natural" in Kihei.
Costco in Kahului opens at 10 a.m. for Wholesale Card holders; 11 a.m. for others. Call them at 808-871-9649. 2. Re: Costco Hours. Thanks ChiSue, that's what i thought. 3. Re: Costco Hours. Outr Costco here closes at 6 on Saturday and Sunday. You may want to check on that if you are coming in on a Sunday.

There are 4 in Kihei alone. I also checked their website and was astounded to find out who all of their affiliates are.
