When I was last on Amtrak I got a roomette it’s great if you’re traveling alone but tight for two. The observation car is great. The food was much better than airline food.

   Amtrak's Southwest Chief was a great route with some great scenery. The roomette was a bit small but cozy, the crew seemed to have good attitudes and they were polite enough. Our room attendant and the waiter in the dining car on the Southwest Chief were extremely pleasant; in fact, I would ride that route again just to experience their enthusiasm.
