2. Re: Cheap safe parking Near SFO Airport. Apr 12, 2024, 10:57 PM. I would look at the airport owned parking lots. We parked in long term parking in February for the first time. I think it was $16 or $18/day, and it's on the airport tram line so no worries about the human factor in a shuttle service.
93 helpful votes. 4. Re: long term parking at SFO. 2 years ago. SFO has a long-term parking lot on premises. It is connected to the terminals by AirTrain. There are additional off-site lots, all of which should have shuttles (but please verify due to ongoing COVID-related staffing shortages).
SkyPark's rates keep creeping up (w/ AAA discount and free days, the quote is $15/day + tax). The last time I used them I had to wait longer than usual, both departing and arriving. The best rate I found is with Anza Parking, $13.99/day+tax. Last time, as I waited at SFO, I saw their shuttle twice before SkyPark came, but maybe that was a fluke.
- Park at Park SFO (off-airport, uses a shuttle): $9 GG bridge toll + 5 days x $20 parking with "3 days free" coupon + car operating expenses at IRS rate of .67/mile = $159 Aside from the $9 savings, the convenience of having your car right there waiting for you instead of a long bus ride is very nice.
Clarion Hotel offers plain old self-parking without a room stay for $9 a day, and Fox Autopark offers $7.45 a day which is, by far one of the best rates I've ever seen. Also, I noticed you're leaving at 4 a.m. Some airport hotels offer free parking with a night's stay, and shuttle you to the airport (of course).
