   110 helpful votes. 6. Re: extra charge on Hertz car rental for being over 65. 12 years ago. For a Hertz reservation, they ask your age in this manner: 18-19, 20-24 or 25+. There is no mention of a charge for a 65+ driver. I called them and got the same information. I think there is some misunderstanding here.

   I'm sorry, but a 2 1/2 to 3 hour wait anywhere, with any car company, is just beyond belief. Are you sure you were talking about Hertz and not Fox (they both have odd letters) - Hertz is very seldom used with "discounts" in the same breath, they (and Avis) are the full-priced, full service options that business travelers and rich people (like WD, lol) use (just joking WD).

   Reread my previous post on this thread. No, they do not bring car to PJIA but provide free transfer to their lot 5 minutes away. I also encourage to book direct with Hertz SXM and not through others providing Hertz rentals. That is probably where the bad reviews you are referring to were caused.
