   The initial rental car location ends up with a car that now can't be rented in it's local area, so it ends up being down a car. Without seeing the T&C's, we have no idea whether the $750, which does sound very high, was based on the location/distance you were driving the car to or was a flat fee that Alamo has in it's contract with Allegiant.

   15 years ago. Hi. I have made myself an expert on evaluation of rental car rates over the past 3 months. Now I cannot speak for Canadian AAA membership, but I know that I could save at least 10% on a posted rate. But, and there is a catch! You must watch carefully that they do not apply this savings to a "market" rate.

   Thanks. It appears there's no AAA discount on Hertz right now except for weekend and weekly rentals (I'm renting for 4 weekdays). Hertz has a 25% off discount coupon code, but it only allows one CDP code, so it won't let me enter my AAA information to get the free second driver.

   We have requested towing service 3 times - each time we had to wait 6+ hours. One of the times, we gave up and paid out of pocket since the car was on the side of the interstate. It's time to renew and I'm on the fence. I'm sure the day I let it lapse will be the same day I REALLY need it.
