We rent from DIA about once a year and always use Enterprise or Hertz. Join loyalty programs and book direct using any discounts. Never take highway 470 around airport.

The line ups were a 2 1/2 hour wait to pick up your reserved car rental !!! 2 1/2 hours of standing in line up in a hot building. There were a lot of angry people!

   Denver is a time-consuming airport. I fly into DEN frequently and rent cars. My personal rule of thumb is hitting rental car lot 90 minutes before flight time. But I'm also very knowledgable of the airport, have TSA Pre, etc. If you are new to the airport, I would suggest you be at car rental absolutely no later than two hours before flight ...

   Fox car rental Denver Airport. 6 years ago. I know you will get a better rate at Fox but save yourself aggravation and go somewhere else. Counter people were nice but when we got our car it was not ready to be rented. It was so filthy it was hard to tell if scratches or small dents existed as we looked over car.

   Get out and run away as fast as you can. We rented from Fox at the Denver International airport (to save some money). Yes, we did get the rate, as promised. However, the 1-1/4 hour wait at the service desk to get a car with 50 other people was completely unbearable. Everyone in the rental place was miserable.
