7 years ago. I also meant to add that the tolls themselves are cheaper when you use EZ Pass. For instance, the toll from Logan Airport to Newton is $1.50 with a Massachusetts EZ Pass, $1.75 with an EZ Pass issued by another state, and $2.05 if you have no transponder and are billed by mail.
153 helpful votes. 6. Re: toll booths--barrier free tolls in a rental car. 12 years ago. There is only one toll on the motorways in Ireland, that is barrier free - on the M50. It has a €3 toll charge, each way, between Junctions 6 and 7. There are signs, advising you that you are in a toll section.
