Just follow the Terminal C signs and the Car Rental returns signs. Fwiw we picked up and returned a car there a few weeks ago with Alamo, without any problems.

For picking up car rentals at MCO, for car companies such as Alamo or Dollar, are they located onsite, i.e. walk to cars, or do we need to take a shuttle to the car rental companies off site locaiton or to a car rental center?    Unfortunately rental cars are not available for drop off/pick up at Terminal C as of yet. Your best option when returning your car is to return it at Terminal/Garage B. After, you can proceed to Terminal B Level 1 curbside by space B29 where a free shuttle pick up passengers to take to the Departures Level of Terminal C. Reply.

Avis has two garage facilities -- one in the A side garage, and another in the B side garage, with corresponding service desks on each side of the terminal. They function together, so it is possible to rent on one side and return on the other side.
