Looks like they have two tiers of coverage. Most cards are in Tier 1 and offer coverage for cars with a new retail price up to $50,000. Tier 2 seems to only apply to Platinum and Centurion cards and covers up to $75,000. One big advantage of Amex is that they do not allow Dynamic Currency Conversion.

SO do check that carefully. You also need to be aware that the user pays for the damage, and then claims back from the CC.

Report inappropriate content.
Many car rental agencies offer so called All-Inclusive car rental, including the above "don't worry coverage". Other car rental agencies offer these a a "menu"; pick and choose as you like.
